It is interesting to think about our past, present, and future with one another. The past is gone and can’t be changed, but it can help to shape our present and future selves.
The present is all we have; it’s the here and now. And our future is always unknown; it’s what we hope for and work towards. I help people to take the negative emotions from their past, balance their present, and go into the future with believability and focus.
In doing so, my clients can live their best lives possible. I will show you how to do that on your own.
Here’s a typical breakdown of the steps you may need to follow to take the negative emotions from your past;
Make sure you are in a relaxed and comfortable position; no tight-fitting clothes, and you should not cross your legs. There should also be no external distractions like TV or radio noise in the background.
It would be best to proceed with this practice in the comfort of your bedroom. Close your eyes and sink deep into your chair, letting the feeling of relaxation wash over you.
Feel your head sink deeper into the back of the chair as you drift deeper within yourself. Let your eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks, nose, upper lip, lower lip, and jaw muscles all relax.
You may notice a slight flutter with your eyelids; be comfortable with this feeling. Allow the relaxation to sink to a cellular level.
Deep, deep relaxation. As you relax, allow the stress and tension to leave your body. Breath away any unnecessary stress or tension.
Allow yourself to drift deeper into a beautiful state of relaxation. Everything I tell you will sink deeply into your subconscious mind and gently guide you into a state of complete relaxation.
You may feel light, floating effortlessly on a cloud of peace. Or you may find yourself sinking deeper into a comfortable chair, feeling like you are melting into the fabric.
Wherever you go in your imagination, know that you are safe and sound, relaxing deeply. Breathe in relaxation and breathe out any remaining stress or tension. Just let go and drift off into a blissful state of deep relaxation.
We Can’t Change the Past, but we can move away from it.
We have our past, present, and future. The only one we are in right now is the present. We can reflect on the past, worry about it, and be concerned about it. There is no way we can change what has happened.
The way we worry about our past gets us stressed out about it. This stress and anxiety of the past are affecting our present and then our future.
The simple way to look at it is that take away the negative emotions of the past and be comfortable in the present. Then we can go forward into the future with believability and focus.
The past is significant in our lives. Our past is full of experiences and valuable lessons. Something or an incident in the past may still be stressing you.
Whatever it was, it is a valuable lesson. It may be something you regret or you have been embarrassed about.
You are now wiser and informed and will not make the same mistake again. You have learned from your past, and you can use that experience to make better choices in the future.
Embrace your past and use it as a tool to grow and become a better version of yourself. As we get older, we have more experiences and lessons in our lives.
The saying “you can’t put an old head on young shoulders” becomes more relatable. When you are young, you may not understand the value of those words. However, as you age, you realize that the older you get, the less you seem to know.
When you think you have all the answers, they change the questions. Consequently, the saying holds a great deal of wisdom and insight. Though it may be challenging to accept at first, it is something we all must eventually come to terms with.
I like to describe it to my clients: imagine you have a moth in a glass vase. Underneath the bottom of the vase is a glowing light bulb.
Above the vase is the sun. The moth is trying to get to the light beneath the vase. The moth can’t get to it because there is glass between the moth and the light.
The moth represents the present, and the light beneath the vase represents the past. Just as the moth cannot get to the light, we cannot return to our past.
We can only think about it and reflect on it. Probably worry about it. The sun above the glass represents the future. There is no cork on the top of the vase, so we can go into the future, but not the past.
You can either focus on the stresses of your past and remain frustrated or choose to believe in yourself and head into the future with focus. All the experiences and lessons of your past can serve as a guide to help you.
Think about what you want. Remember, your imagination only limits you. I am here to help extend your imagination and see all possible for you.
Trust that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Have faith in yourself and know that you are capable of greatness. Now is the time for you to shine.
